Graceskull

The first band to be signed to Nature Sucks Anyway, Graceskull is a duo who make music that you'll want have on when you're trying to sweet talk your old lady. Smooth, slow and melodically strong. Some people say they sleep better if they have "Happiness" on when they go to bed, and you know what - who are we to argue?

Mitä helvettiä nyt taas

Currently NSAR's only band operating in our native Finnish language, Mitä helvettiä nyt taas's songwriter Timo Silvennoinen tackles fresh and often unexpected topics and wraps them in fresh and melodically rich power pop. The band is putting out their songs one by one but there have been talk of getting an album together too, fingers crossed!

The Sugarrush

These guys are true pioneers of Finnish power pop. After getting their start on industry legend Kimmo Miettinen's Popatak label some decades, they've now made their way home to Nature Sucks Anyway. The catchiness of this band's songwriting is truly a marvel to behold, you just have to hear it for yourself.

The Bullets

Rock'n'roll, baby, that's what we're talking about! The Bullets love you with that tough love, hardhitting songs aimed at your booty with a suberb delivery both vocally and instrumentally. There's none harder (or more difficult to try to keep on the straight and narrow...)

Eric Colt

Günther "Fast Glove" Uzi
Bass, backing vocals
Johnny "Bang Bang" Baretta
Drums, backing vocals

The Royal Piss

These two guys love candy, soda and all that sweet stuff so it's not surprising that they've produced such a buzz on their debut EP "Waterfront". The record is unashamedly 90's in its feel but the boys have managed to freshen up their version of the decade's best guitar rock. Stay alert for more of the same since the boys are currently working on a new mini album tentatively titled "For The Golds".

Hills (of Vaasa)

Hills (Of Vaasa) is a brainchild of a two man team that is not particularly known for their brain power. Ove and Coma's original plan was to record their material outside on the beaches of Vaasa but those plans have since been ditched and replaced with a more traditional approach. Hills's music is passive-aggressive, gentle but unpredictable - a sweet and sour sound of longing.

Coma Silvennoinen
Vocals, guitar, drums, songs, etc.
Ove Ritola

The Foy

It's in the songs. Having rocked their asses very nearly off in other bands (like Parazetamol and The Bullets), The Foy boys came together in 2022 to set fire to songwriter Petri's tunes. The resulting fireworks display a dedication to the craft of both songwriting and arranging, "everything in its right place" kinda thing. The balance of rock and pop sensibilities might well be a rare beast to come across but it's all there in The Foy's music.

Marcus Granfors

Having honed his talent rocking with The Bullets and as a guitarist for hire with various troupes, Marcus Granfors brought out something different for his debut solo album "Heartbeat". This is a work of immense beauty and soul, tackling heartfelt themes such as becoming a parent.

Marcus has gone on to present equally great song material in both The Heartbeat Band and Kuusikoski. You are permitted to check them both out even if they're not on our roster, we're fair like that.

Ove Ritola

The lead vocalist etc. for such troupes as Graceskull, The Royal Piss and The Conquistadors, Ove Ritola released his debut EP of instrumental music, entitled "Sunday Morning", on Nature Sucks Anyway. Originally conceived as a part of a project in Ove's native Vaasa to bring life with means of art into the hospital ward for long term ill, the four song EP finds its tones in soothing, loose textures and sounds of nature.

Leopard Wednesday

Nature Sucks Anyway's best kept lil' secret, Leopard Wednesday is the solo outing of Andy J. Prinkkilä. You might know this man from such act as The Sugarrush, Mitä helvettiä nyt taas, and The Lieblings but this solo stuff finds the man revealing another side of his beautiful bald dome. The recordings on the upcoming EP are solely four track - cassette, au naturelle.

When is it coming out then? You'd think that we'd know since Andy is on the board of NSA Records but we don't. Whenever the fuck he feels like it is probably the best guess.

Karabastu

Karabastu was a one off project that one could surely call legendarily stupid; four guys playing semi-improvised instrumental music in a car in three different locations during one night. Amazingly enough, it was a success both musically and in terms of reaction from the audience. Harkel Alkohol filmed the events that evening and his footage was formed into a rockumentary of sorts that Nature Sucks Anyway might or might not put out as a Betamax cassette in the future.
